These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the DVLA's Apply for a Duplicate logbook (V5C) Service and your relationship with this website. Please read them carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, please do not use this website.

Access to the Service

This service allows individuals to apply for a duplicate Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C) online. In the future, additional services and features may be added.

You should only attempt to access this service if you are authorised to do so i.e. you are or are acting on behalf of the registered keeper.

You will need the vehicle registration number, the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), surname or business name and post code in order to access this service.

This service will be accessible to all individuals who wish to apply for a duplicate Vehicle Registration Certificate (V5C) from 7am to 8pm. (including weekends and bank holidays)

We cannot guarantee that the service will be fault free. If a fault occurs, you should report on 0300 123 4321 and we will attempt to correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can.

Costs

There will normally be a £25.00 cost associated with this service.

DVLA reserve the right to amend the cost of this service without prior notice.

Payment Cards

Debit and credit cards are accepted for payment on this website. Card information is transferred in accordance with our security statement.

Continuity of service

Where possible, DVLA will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that there is no break in the continuity of service and will only make changes when required. Outages may be required on occasions where essential upgrades to the service need to be implemented.
